AN 18-year-old woman was subjected to a serious sexual assault in the early hours of Saturday.
The woman was walking along Old Liverpool Road, near to the Sankey Way roundabout at 4.40am on Saturday when a man attacked her.
The investigation is in its early stages but police ask anyone with information to call them on 0845 458 000 or call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
