WOLVES star Lee Briers has taken over the role of Warrington Hospital’s children’s ward player ambassador from Matt King The half back made a visit to the ward this week, bringing a smile to the face of fan Matthew Ford, from Padgate, who has been in hospital for 12 days.
Lee gave a signed shirt and beanie hat to the starstruck 11-year-old and also donated a signed Carnegie Challenge Cup, which is currently being raffled to raise funds for medical equipment and new furniture.
