THE FORMER parish priest of St Patrick's and St Marie's RC churches in Widnes, Fr Frank Calderbank, died suddenly last Monday.
He retired five years ago and was living with other retired priests in Maghull.
He had still been actively involved in parish work, occasionally saying mass on supply for priests throughout the Liverpool diocese.
Bishop Tom Williams will lead a mass of reception today, Wednesday, at St Marie's Church, Lugsdale Road, at 7.30pm.
Archbishop Patrick Kelly will preside at his funeral, at St Oswald's Church in Coppall, near Chorley, tomorrow, Thursday, at 11am.
