BEING marooned in the South Pacific, sounds like bliss.

And it certainly was for Geoff Armstrong, aged 21, and his 23-year-old sister, Jo, the stars of TV's latest reality hit Shipwrecked.

Apart from creepy crawlies, backstabbing and tropical storms that is.

The pair chatted about sunsets, turf wars between the opposing island, Sharks and Tigers, and sleeping under the stars, from the comfort of their Grappenhall home.

l So what have you been up

to since the show finished?

Geoff: "I've been in Heat twice, More! and the Daily Mail. And on T4 a few times, it's all been a bit nuts!

Jo: "Nothing glamorous, I've been working to save up to go travelling again, because that was the biggest freebie I've ever had."

l Have you been

spotted by the public?

Geoff: "When I've been out in Warrington people have come up and said 'hi Geoff,' when I went to Cardiff last week, it's surreal like they know you.

"The other week I was in McDonald's in Liverpool and a group of builders shouted at me, 'Oi you're Geoff' next thing other people were firing questions at me about Shipwrecked. It was like a mini press conference!"

On screen the two couldn't be more different.

Geoff describes himself as a 'lone ranger'. He exited in a cloud of controversy five weeks into the five month adventure, having formed his own camp and was rejected by opposition island the Tigers.

He was replaced by Jo, a Manchester University graduate who assumed a different identity and chose to join the Sharks, the group instrumental in her brother's departure.

l Describe your

time on the island.

Jo: "It was paradise but hard work. For the last two weeks it poured down, my clothes were mouldy.

"And we had little food. But me and one of the other guys used to creep into the crew's camp and steal chocolate bars!"

"But it was great fun as well, I made some good friends.

Geoff: "I think I met all the characters from Finding Nemo. It was a coral reef, the water was so clear, the snorkling was phenomenal.

"When the sun set for a few seconds the entire sea lit up, it was amazing."

l And the bad bits?

Geoff: The long drop toilet, I needn't explain any more it caused awful insect bites.

Jo: "The fact that some people were so two-faced and only there to get famous."

l Would you go on

another reality TV again?

Geoff: "Actually I went along to the Big Brother auditions with a friend a few weeks ago, I got to the last call back on the day and the producers asked me to come back.

"Then I turned round and told them I was only there for a laugh.

Jo: "Neither of us would ever go on BB, our parents wouldn't like it.

"Shipwrecked was just a game, BB scrutinises your whole personality and life."

Shipwrecked is on every Sunday morning on Channel 4.
