A FINAL charge against accountant John Prescott has been dropped.

The prosecution offered no evidence on a charge of stealing £60,000 and he was declared not guilty on Monday.

Mr Prescott, who lived in Moore until 2003 and had businesses in Woolston and Lymm until he went bankrupt, was cleared of eight charges of theft and obtaining money by deception at Warrington Crown Court last month.

The 57-year-old now lives in Manor House Drive, Crawford, near Wigan.
