IT'S been a happy ending for almost 50 cuddly puppies who have new homes... in record time.

Thanks to a report in the Warrington Midweek, the 47 fluffy bundles, including a litter of eight, took only three minutes each to be picked by new owners last month.

John Newton, of Cheshire

Dogs Home, Knusford Road, where the animals were dumped, said: "It was incredible. The week after the article appeared in the newspaper there was a long queue three hours before we opened.

"And it averaged that one dog found a new family every three minutes - it must have been a record!"
