POLICE believe a 17-year-old girl was assaulted in a Winsford park although the teenager remembers nothing of the incident.
The suspected assault took place at around 9.45am on Sunday, September 18, in the area of Over Recreation Ground.
The girl suffered cuts and bruising to her forehead and was left extremely distressed.
PC Jason Murray said: "She was in the park and then her next memory is some time later in the town centre with a friend.
"We need to know if anyone saw anything. We are hoping someone may have seen her walking out of the park or during her journey to the town centre.
"We are treating this very seriously as we have to assume that she was assaulted."
