A WINSFORD man has appeared in court charged with murdering a Middlewich resident.
Gerard Robert McKeown, of Dene Drive, spoke only to confirm his name as he stood in the dock at Chester Crown Court yesterday, Tuesday.
McKeown is charged with murdering Gavin McAleer, 27, of Longmoss Close, Middlewich, on Thursday, September 1.
Gavin, a former pupil of St Nicholas High School was found in the car park of The Vaults pub in Wheelock Street, Middlewich.
The defendant had been committed to crown court by south Cheshire magistrates on September 5 this year.
McKeown was remanded in custody and will appear again to enter a plea on Tuesday, November 29.
