A COURSE is being run in October for people who want to become assistant swimming teachers.
The ASA Assistant Teacher course takes place during the half term break, October 24-29, at Sir John Deane's College Leisure Centre.
Leisure centre manager Lesley McLaughlin said: "The course will include a final assessment when there will be an opportunity to gain a nationally recognised qualification."
The course costs £170 but is funded for 16-18 year olds.
Places are limited and application forms are available from the leisure centre or by ringing 01606 353930.
