NORTHWICH is setting itself for a real clash of the titans when Winnington Park and Northwich go head to head next month.
The rugby giants have been drawn together in the second round of the National Intermediate Cup, setting up a mouth watering tie on October 15.
And it is a match Northwich chairman Sam Naylor is looking forward to.
He said: "Matches between the two sides have always been tight, but Winnington must be favourites this time around as they are in a higher division and are playing well at the moment."
Interestingly, in the four games the clubs have played against each other Northwich have two wins, both at Winnington, while Park have won two, both at Northwich.
