SOME of the world's most historic headlines can be bought on the Internet thanks to a Northwich e-commerce company.
ITQ Solutions has set up the website newspapersremembered.co.uk which sells newspapers from more than 100 years ago.
The company decided to use the Internet to exploit the market of historical newspapers as gifts after being approached by two London based entrepreneurs who bought an archive of four million back copies.
Customers from countries including Australia, America and Africa have bought copies of the newspapers as gifts for people celebrating birthdays or special events.
Kevin Spindler, one of the entrepreneurs behind the project, said: "The subsequent revenue has allowed us to commission ITQ to build several other e-commerce websites through partnership with the likes of WH Smith, The Times and The Mirror to further expand the market for historic newspapers and reproduction newspaper books.
"Two years on we have seven websites and our online turnover is now more than £1million."
