THREE members of Northwich Victoria Supporters Trust have written to chairman Mike Connett asking him to reconsider lifting the ban he imposed on them from attending matches at the Victoria Stadium.

In a statement to the Guardian, James Wood, Mark Edgeley and Richard Ward, who some have called the VS3, wrote:

"On Tuesday, August 16, Northwich Victoria Football Club will play their first ever game at the Victoria Stadium. This is something we have looked forward to for over three years and would not wish to miss.

"Unfortunately, it is with great sadness that we find ourselves banned from the stadium and are therefore unable to join our friends, relatives and other supporters on this historic occasion.

"We are not hooligans but like many other supporters we were and still are concerned about the future of our football club.

"We have asked our friends, relatives and other supporters not to boycott the game on Tuesday night. We would not want them to miss out but go along and support our team in the normal way.

"We are lifelong supporters of Northwich Victoria and also members of the Northwich Victoria Football Trust.

"The Trust has recently written to the owner, Mr Connett, on two occasions asking him to reconsider his decision.

"To date we have not been given any reasons as to why we have been banned. We are jointly writing to Mr Connett asking him to reconsider his decision in time for us to attend the opening league game."
