KNYPERSLEY Vics crashed out in the cup on Saturday, going down at home to Desborough in the second qualifying round of the Carlsberg FA Vase.
All the Desborough goals in their narrow 3-2 away win came from crosses, but the Vics went down fighting after battling back to square the match after being two down early in the second half.
Vics' centre forward Mick Biddle scored from a Terry Stanway cross, and followed his goal up by setting up Paul James for the equaliser.
However Desborough rallied to hit the winner despite some frantic late goal attempts by Knypersley.
