FORMER Everton player Jason Kearton has become the latest visitor to Gresty Road this week as Crewe's bid for a goalkeeper continues.
Mark Gayle has not played since a thigh injury at the start of the season and loaned keeper Steve Mautone was recalled to West Ham.
Derby County's Martin Taylor has been in goal for Crewe on the last few weeks as part of a month long loan.
Young recruit Neil Cutler is unable to play after a back injury and manager Dario Gradi is still on the look out for a keeper.
Australian Kearton, 26, was released by the Merseyside team and is currently on trial at Crewe Alex although Bournemouth have also shown their interest in the player.
Fran Tierney is training again after a foot injury and Rob Savage has returned from the Welsh International Squad to play against Brentford on Saturday.
Brian Launders will not be playing as he collected a three match suspension after being sent off in a reserve game.
Phil Charnock, on loan from Liverpool, will be in the line up and Gareth Whalley could be on the team if training goes well this week.
Brentford are currently unbeaten and top scorers in the division and Dario admitted: "It's going to be our hardest game so far this season apart from Port Vale."
