POLICE are investigating the discovery of a man's body in a burnt out car near Sandbach.
A passing motorist called the fire brigade after he spotted the Volkswagon Polo on fire in a field at Clay Lane, Elton at 9.45 last Saturday night.
The firefighters discovered the man's body after the flames were put out. The dead man has not yet been identified
A police spokesperson said that it was not being treated as suspicious at the moment but that investigations were continuing.
