FOR more than four years, the world has watched the atrocities of ethnic cleansing in the former Yugoslavia and we are still seeing the grim evidence of genocide in Rwanda, even as the same horrific spiral of violence threatens Burundi.
Those responsible for these massive crimes have acted with an impunity afforded them by the international community. While the criminals walk free, worse crimes will follow.
The Warrington Amnesty International group is campaigning to ensure the establishment of a permanent International Criminal Court to deal with such crimes.
