BOSSES of this year's massive pop concert say it's not definitethe show will return for '97.

Promoters SJM is still undecided and has been locked in talks over where to hold the 12-hour musical extravaganza.

In August more than 35,000 people descended on Victoria Park to hear bad boy of pop, Jarvis Cocker, cause some Pulp frenzy.

Town leaders wanted the concert to become an annual event, but the summer festival may have been a one off.

Promoter Simon Moran said: "We haven't decided yet. It's under discssion.

"At the moment it's more likely not to go ahead, but we are not sure.

"We didn't make that much money out of that concert and we are a business.

"There were a hell of as lot of problematic things with that venue. We have other areas to consider."

One theory is if the concert was to return it would have to be a two day event to make enough money.

The summer spectacular faced fierce objection from nearby residents who tried to stop the event going ahead.

Pulp star Jarvis told the huge crowd how he loved Warrington and admired the view from his stage.
