A HANDICAPPED girl whose bravery touched millions of TV viewers could take her last walking steps in Disneyland.

For Lindsey Morley has won a dream trip abroad before she has surgery that could confine her to a wheelchair after she was nominated by a hospital nurse.

Courageous Lindsey's life may be in jeopardy unless she has the operation later this year.

And the cost of keeping her alive means she may never walk again.

Her mum, Julie, aged 30, said: "There is always a fear there. I am worried to death about the operation but Lindsey can't wait to go on this dream holiday."

The 12-year-old girl from Lovely Lane, Warrington, suffers from a rare disease that has stunted the growth of her spine.

She is also partially deaf and suffers from a lung disorder which means she must go to sleep hooked up to an artificial oxygen supply.

Brave Lindsey Morley moved the nation after she burst into tears on Michael Barrymore's 'My Kind Of People'.

Even the camera crew wept as Barrymore hugged her and asked: "Do you know what brave is?"

He told millions of TV viewers: "That was the most magical thing I've ever witnessed."

And tears flowed freely when pop queen, Michelle Gayle, performed an impromptu duet with Lindsey on Channel 4's Big Breakfast.

Presenters Gaby Roslin and Keith Chegwin were choked with emotion as the plucky girl shared a microphone with the former Eastenders' star.

TV star, Keith Chegwin, told the Guardian: "She is one of the bravest little girls we have ever had on the show. What a character.

"The way she came on and sand like a professional was remarkable. You could have cut the atmosphere in here with a knife.

"Even the crew close to tears."
