Police chiefs have decided to prosecute the mum-of-three after she left two of her children with virtual strangers while she went to Spain.

A probe was launched last month after tiny Amy Bogg was discovered sobbing on the doorstep of her home in Padgate.

She had wandered half a mile from the home of her baby-sitters and sat on the doorstep of her home crying.

When police and social services arrived, they broke down the door and found an emaciated dog tied to the bannister.

The children were put into the care of other relatives by social services.

Diane only flew home after she was contacted by social services and her holiday home was besieged by reporters.

She and her boyfriend, Paul Pattinson, have been charged on three counts of neglect and will appear before magistrates next month.
