LAW and order remains one of the top priorities for the people of Warrington, a survey has revealed.

Warrington South Conservatives carried out a survey that voices the fears of the public.

The town's Tories contacted more than 2,000 households and more than one-third of those who responded ranked law and order ahead of any other issue, including health and education.

Chris Grayling, Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Warrington South said: "This gives a clear message that we must redouble the battle against crime. Surveys like this are an essential part of understanding people's anxieties and priorities."

The main issues raised were the need to protect the green belt and the call for new business in to the area.

The findings from the survey will be given to ministers.
