A TEENAGE girl has lost her 18-month battle against cancer.
Brave Sarah Louise Pilling, aged 13, lived in Wiltshire Close, Woolston, with her parents, Kevin and Elaine, and her brother, Neil.
She attended Woolston County High School and was a former pupil of Oakwood Avenue County Primary School. A Woolston High spokesperson described Sarah as "a bubbly and outgoing girl who was very popular with her fellow pupils.
"Sarah was a conscientious and responsible student with loads and loads of courage. Even when she was very ill she managed to get into school whenever she could. We are very proud of her and she will be sadly missed."
Sarah's funeral service on Monday was held at Padgate Methodist Church and was conducted by the Rev Jenny Wilson, who described her as "a very brave young girl."
