WARRINGTON Health Authority has survived the worst poisonous concoctions of the Government's internal markets, which have produced life-threatening side effects in other areas.
Manchester has been officially labelled as the worst health authority with blatant two-tier services.
Warrington really is one of the best in the UK because of the multi-disciplinary hard work of the team, including the management. We have had to fight hard to keep in the Premier League of the NHS.
Warrington primary care is still underfunded by about three per cent and at times Warrington nurses have been diverted to Runcorn or Widnes by the North Cheshire Health.
Mr. Dorrell's new avalanche of white papers is a swindle. He has said no new monies will be available, which means that to fund his new-fangled brain wave of primary care-led NHS, Warrington Hospital will have to curtail services and lose jobs. The re-introduction of cottage hospitals turns the clock back by 60 years to pre-war days.
His party political dogma may yet kill the NHS in Warrington by overdose of white papers. The NHS is in danger. Please help to save it. VICTOR KING, Honiton Way, Penketh
