THE letter last week regarding the Government's crackdown on benefit cheats contained a number of misdirected points.

I like to think of myself as someone who believes in an honest day's work, unlike R. M. H. of Padgate who seems to think that cheating the system is socially acceptable.

The simple fact of the matter is anyone who has cheated the system is okay has illegally falsified a document in order to obtain money, which still amounts to stealing.

What really annoys me about these lowlife people is that my taxes are going towards luxuries for them that I can' t afford even though I work.

In today's mixed-up society we need to get rid of these scroungers who are the biggest drain on Government funds which could be put to better use on underfunded utilities like the fire, police and ambulance services. HONEST PERSON
