WARRINGTON Town Football Club's future is in the hands of the VAT man.
Chairman Steve Plant is waiting for an answer from them on his plan to pull the Cantilever Park club out of its latest financial crisis.
Plant has requested a time extension so that a brewery can be sought, a brewery that would come on board and provide a loan to cover the crippling debts.
The club has had to slash the players' wages by a third to try and combat the growing problem and thankfully, for Town, all but one of the players has pledged to stick with the club despite the current climate.
Town, rock bottom in the UniBond League, are in the middle of a gruelling away programme at the moment. They have only played at home once in their last 11 games and four of their next five games also mean travelling, starting tomorrow, Saturday, with a long haul to Gretna.
Warrington hope to have an on-loan defender from Northwich Victoria in their ranks at Gretna.
