Blaydon 46
Lymm RFC 16
THE early stages of this North Two fixture showed no signs of the devastation which was to follow.
Lymm scored two Elliott penalties before going 24-6 down. During this time they lost skipper John Millachip with a broken leg.
They stuck to their task and when Hardy scored a solo try, Shaw coverting to add to a further Elliott penalty, it looked as though the result would be respectable.
Poor defence was once again their downfall and Blaydon ran in three tries in the last 15 minutes, two almost unopposed.
The seconds beat Macclesfield 20-10 with fly-half Murphy dictating proceedings.
He put Lymm ahead with a penalty, set up a try for Anderson, converted it and scored a cheeky solo try. Addi also scored.
The thirds hammered Bury thirds 93-0. Tries by Reid 4, Horn 3, Paton 2, Jenkins 2, Hunter 2, Butler and Apps.
The fourths won 64-10 over Bury Vets. Tries by Borthwick 2, Barnes-Batty 2, Parr 2, Bird, Pritchard and Grisedale.
The fifths were 20-0 victors over Ormskirk fifths. Scorers were Holland 2, and Pitt.
Lymm u16 beat Crewe 51-0. Tom Hardy 3, C. Pilling 2, M. Stevenson, D. Williams, A. Marshall and A. Backler scored.
