PHIL Archer heads for Spain this weekend in a bid to join golf's biggest names on the European Tour next season.
The Birchwood Golf Club assistant will compete against 180 qualifiers at the European Tour School near Gibraltar.
A top 40 finish over the six rounds will earn him a place alongside Seve Ballesteros, Nick Faldo and Colin Montgomerie on the multi-million pound Tour next year.
He says: "This is the biggest competition of my career and I am getting a little uptight about it, but I am playing well and if I play my game I am quite confident.
"Qualifying for the school was an achievement, so I have nothing to lose."
