A SLALOM canoeist from Warrington has been selected for Great Britain under 21s.
It caps a fine first season in senior competition for the Croft ace.
Alex Burt, a 19-year-old student at Teeside University, Middlesborough, completed his campaign by finishing 19th in the national rankings.
His latest GB call-up follows on from a wonderful junior international career which culminated in a team silver medal at the Junior World Championships in the Czech Republic last year.
Burt can now look forward to being part of a winter training squad preparing for a series of international events in 1997.
