WARRING Brookside neighbours Max and Bev called a truce when they turned up in Warrington to switch on the Christmas lights.
In true festive spirit, hapless Max - actor Stephen Pinder - was on hand to help Bev - Sarah White - flick the switch and set the town alight.
Hundreds of people turned out to witness the spectacle and cheer their soap favourites.
The traditional event rounded off one of the biggest days in Warrington's year, following the visit of the Duchess of Kent to open the River of Life street sculpture earlier in the day.
