COUNCIL tenants in Burtonwood will be warmer in 1997 after Town Hall chiefs approved a £41,732 maintenance plan.
The 150 homes will be fitted with cavity and wall insulation.
Houses in Chapel Lane, Perrins Road, Knights Road, Spurling Road, Almond Drive, Cleave Close, Kilshaw Road and Webb Drive will have the work, costing an average of £250, done over the next nine weeks.
Tom Roberts, director of housing, said: "This will hopefully have an impact on people's heating bills and also help the environment by reducing the amount of fuel being used."
