VICARS are still top of the Earlestown Town Furnishings Snooker League after beating Stubshaw Cross Labour A 5-1.

M. Cowley made a 30 break in the only Labour Club victory against F. Chatfield, Vicars.

In second, one point behind Vicars, are Haydock Catholic who beat the Vulcan 6-0. M. Thompson, Haydock Catholic, made a good 40 break in his win against M. Martin.

In third, two points behind the leaders, are Golborne Catholic A who went to CYMS B and came away with a 4-2 victory.

Garswood Labour A are slipping, beaten 4-2 against CYMS A. Earlestown Cons won 4-2 against Stubshaw Cross Labour B. Garswood Labour B got back to winning ways 4-2 at Golborne Catholic B.

The only draw in the league this week was at the Viaduct against Haydock Reading Room. E. Bates saved the Viaduct from defeat.

Tim McDonald, Golborne Catholic A, is the only player in the league with a 100 per cent record. The highest break is still Mark Dinsdale's 77 for CYMS A.

Entry forms are out for the three-a-side competition. They must be returned at the next delegates' meeting on December 5 at Earlestown Cons, 8pm.
