A DRAW, but nevertheless an outstanding performance from Newton Women's Hockey team.
Sarah Cowan blasted them in front as they took the early initiative before Alderley scored two goals from penalty corners to go 2-1 up.
Newton got the equaliser shortly into the second half when Di Atkins's free hit found Michelle Bale.
Edge took the lead yet again but, just before full-time, Jeanette Ward flicked home the third and was subsequently voted man of the match.
