NEEDY children could be in for a merry Christmas, thanks to a special appeal.
The Mayor is calling upon Newton residents to donate new toys and gifts to the Christmas Toy Appeal for less fortunate youngsters.
Presents will be welcomed up to December 9 and can be handed in, not gift wrapped, at any council office or library.
Donations can also be sent to Keith Wakefield, Mayor's Toy Appeal, Personal Services Dept., Century House, Hardshaw Street, St Helens. Cheques made payable to St Helens MBC Mayor's Toy Appeal.
