VICTORIES for Norton A and RNA resulted in them making certain their respective Section Championships.

While they also look to be joined by Prospect Has Beens, the Section Five title will rest on Dreadnaughts result in their last fixture of the season.

Norton A ensured the Section two championship was theirs when they ran out 7/2 winners against Pavilions, although they were helped by Waterloo who ran out 6/3 winners against second placed Grangeway A. Docksiders remain in third place and Norton Arms are now level on points with Pavilions in a bid for a top four spot.

After leading Section Three all season, RNA finally made certain their Championship when they ran out comprehensive 8/1 winners against Tanners A. Pirates lost their outside chance of the title and slipped from second to third place after losing out 6/3 to Crofters.

Although they ran out 5/4 winners against Dock Lads, Dreadnaughts have slipped into second place in Section Five with Union Tavern now having a slightly better average after beating bottom place Newcastle 8/1. With Dreadnaughts have to win their remaining fixture to make certain of the title.

Windy Lads, in third place, still have a chance of taking the title after gaining their fifth successive victory.
