JONATHAN Coombs, a 30 years old pest control worker, of Woolston, won this years' Warrington Rotary Club award to assist new businesses.
Mr. Coombs, who trades as Cheshire Pest Control Services, received a £350 cheque from Andrew Gilbert, club president, at a recent meeting of Business by Association, the self help business club.
Having worked with a national pest control company, and in agriculture, Mr. Coombs set up his business earlier this year. He is a former participant in Warrington Business Venture's "Pathway to Business" course.
Runner up in the awards was Milton Scott-Baron of Lymm, whose company, Sane Creations, makes hand-carved mirror frames, clocks and furniture. He received a £100 prize.
