Conservatives offer a fresh future for St Helens by pioneering new ways of listening to people's views by means of community forums and local debate.
"Our policies will safeguard the local Green belt which is under greater threat than ever before from Labour's plans for large scale development.
"Conservatives believe in giving our St Helens Council tenants a greater say in how their own homes are managed and the opportunity to buy their houses at a favourable rates.
"Locally, for years Conservatives have campaigned for pre-school nurseries. For years our proposals were thrown out of St Helens Council budget. Now our perseverance has finally paid dividends and three new nurseries will be built at Windle, Eccleston and Rainford this year.
"After years of Labour and Liberal Democrat misrule, local government needs fresh Conservative ideas which will balance the needs of the community with prudent financial management. Conservatives put a budget forward this year with a nil increase in council tax still leaving £5 million in balances.
"Those are the facts to consider and that is why you should vote Conservative.
