INTERNET company Vistorm, of Stockport, will create new jobs in Warrington when it moves into Daresbury Park next year.

The company has signed a 25 year lease for premises and is expanding in three locations, Warrington, Oxford and London.

Vistorm has recently secured £25m of funding from the venture capital company 3i and three other companies.

It holds the title of European Application Service Provider of the Year and provides managed Internet security and managed Internet applications.

The company's chief executive, Charles Sharland, said: "Vistorm has grown rapidly from a company of 130 staff to 300, in less than a year. As we expand our business, we expect even more rapid growth to accommodate our ambitious plans."

The company was not able to forecast how many new jobs would be created in Warrington. Vistorm is the second company to sign up for Daresbury Park.

De Vere has set up a joint venture company with Maple Grove Developments under the name of Limerica. The initial development is 35 acres with the potential for future phases to make up a total of 225 acres.

Andy Lavin, director of Maple Grove, said the Vistorm letting was a coup for Daresbury. "The arrival of Vistorm contributes to the high profile line up of occupiers and we are delighted the move will generate new jobs in the Warrington area."

Vistorm's new premises at Daresbury will include a gym, bistro and 100 seat auditorium.
