POLICE are appealing for help in tracing a man who carried out a distraction burglary at the home of an 81-year-old woman.
The incident happened at 1.15pm on Friday, November 3, when the offender forced his way into the woman's home on the Grange estate in Winsford.
He told the elderly victim he needed to get into the house to drill through the outside walls, before stealing £80 cash from her living room.
The offender is described as a white male, 28 to 34 years of age, 5ft 10ins to 6ft tall, with short fair hair.
At the time of the offence he was wearing a boiler suit which had red flashes on the side.
