YOUNG newshounds at Penketh Primary School are making the headlines with Newspapers in Education packs.
Pupils are responding positively to the activity packs and have been working hard to produce their own mock copy of the GUARDIAN.
Working together the year three children have produced outstanding work on the project, creating crazy headlines and working on their reporting and interviewing skills.
Teacher Gill Hennie said: "The activities are always a great success and the children really enjoy the work. They're all very enthusiastic and love working on the packs."
The newsgroup produced a special issue for Bonfire Night, where the team researched the history behind the event and reported on the school's own bonfire celebration.
