PUPILS at St Thomas Boteler High School held a special service of remembrance in the school library for former pupils who gave their lives in the two World Wars.
Students who had visited the First World War battlefields in Belgium only a few days earlier joined the rest of the school to observe two minutes' silence.
A short service of remembrance was also held where pupils read out the names of the former pupils from the roll of honour recorded on the war memorial in the school library.
After the service, a wreath was laid at the memorial and a poppy laid for each person.
This year, the name of Albert Gerald Daniels was added to the roll of honour. Gerald Daniels attended the school from 1919 to 1925 and was killed in 1940 whilst serving as a lieutenant aboard HMS Cape Howe.
