IN the first leg of the qualifying round of the Northwich & District Pool League team knockout, Barn Owl A reversed last week's league result against the B side, winning 6-1.
Also taking a comfortable lead into their second leg are first division Phoenix who beat Beech Tree of Division Two 6-1.
Second division Framers Arms made the winners of this competition for the last two seasons battle all the way, but Rudheath eventually won 4-3.
Coachman B also turned the tables on Division One leaders Winnington Park 5-2, after being thrashed 6-1 by them in the league the previous week and Barnton Legion inflicted Blue Barrel's first defeat of the season.
Second division White Barn were winners over first division opponents, as they edged out Coachman A 4-3.
