FARMERS from Biddulph and the surrounding area are being invited to take part in new-style markets.
The Somerfield supermarket in Biddulph is keen to host stalls selling local produce, but the Moorlands Council is finding it difficult to attract farmers.
"The local produce stalls give their customers the opportunity to buy distinctive, fresh food," said Jill Norman from the council.
Anyone who would like more details about the farmers' markets or has other ideas for promoting local produce can ring Jill on 01538-483584.
