DAREDEVIL Linda Sandbach is to dive with dozens of sharks next Tuesday to raise money for charity.

She will be scubadiving with the sharks at the Blue Planet Aquarium at Ellesmere Port to raise money for the David Lewis Centre.

Linda is a support worker at the centre near Alderley Edge, a charity which works with 300 children and adults with complicated epilepsy.

Linda will take the plunge into a tank which holds four million litres of water, as well as 24 sharks, eight of which are 10-foot long Sand Tigers.

She will spent between 30 and 45 minutes in the water with an instructor, being watched by friends peering through the aquarium's Aqua Theatre window.

"I'm feeling a little apprehensive if not really scared at the moment, and I'm not really sure what to expect," said Linda, aged 20, from Shakerley Avenue, Congleton.

"I'll probably be absolutely petrified once I'm in the water, but I can't back out now because I've already been promised more than £200 in sponsor money.

"The staff at the Blue Planet have been really helpful, and I'm certain it will be the experience of a lifetime."

Linda hopes to raise £400 from her aquatic adventure, and anyone who would like to sponsor her please contact Sue Murphy on 01565-640124.
