BUSY bookworms from Whitegate Primary School have been presented with a set of Heinemann's Big Books after they made a special family tree.
Cheshire County Council Chairman David Newton was so impressed with the life-like, 3D tree, he awarded the youngsters with the books on plants and flowers to help boost their reading.
The tree was made up of 500 leaves drawn and coloured by the pupils before it was put on show at the Royal Horticultural Society Flower Show.
Clr Newton said: "These children helped contribute to the show's success and this is a way of thanking them."
