TRITON hockey club mens 1st X1 scored a 3-2 victory over Prescot on Saturday to lift them to seventh in the Division One table.
Mark Bastock put Triton ahead on nine minutes, converting a penalty flick after he had been tripped in the area.
The home side made it 2-0 on 27 minutes, Nick Chucksley running onto a through ball from Simon Trenbirth before rounding the keeper and firing home.
Prescot pulled one back shortly after the restart, only for Triton to restore their two-goal lead when George Dixon-Spain scored following a well-worked penalty corner.
Lack of concentration by Triton saw the visitors grab a late second goal.
Triton 2nd X1 made it seven wins out of seven with a 3-2 victory at Prescot to return to the top of the table.
Fifteen-year-old Craig Duffy scored two, and vice-captain Carl Deaville added a third.
Triton Ladies lost 4-1 at Leek, Louise Ball their scorer.
Triton 1st X1 travel to Warrington tomorrow, and the 2nds have no game. The 3rd team is at home to Bramhall, and Triton Ladies play Dudley at home.
