PELSALL Villas rocked Knypersley Vics with two last-gasp goals on Saturday to earn a dramatic 3-2 victory.

The Vics took a first half lead in their home league match, only to be pegged back on 65 minutes.

They regained the initiative with a second goal nine minutes from the end, but were stunned by two Pelsall strikes in as many minutes.

The game followed last week's breakdown of the Vics' team coach on the way to Stratford and postponement of their mid-week match at Cradely because of bad weather.

Pelsall were two places below Knypersley before the game, and the Vics went close on three minutes when Williams saw his shot blocked.

Knypersley missed a good chance in the 20th minute when Craig Redgate skipped past a defender, only to blast the ball into the side netting.

The Vics took a deserved lead when Elks headed a Brownsword free kick towards the near post, where James ran in to blast home from close range.

A Pelsall substitute looked certain to score 20 minutes into the second half, but was denied when Dixon threw himself in front of the shot to deflect the ball for a corner.

However from the resulting cross Pelsall equalised when King headed in.

Knypersley made it 2-1 in the 81st minute when Williamns cut into the box, and squared the ball to Craig Redgate to slide in as the keeper came out.

Pelsall equalised for a second time with five minutes left when a corner was cleared off the line, only for King to loop a header inside the near post.

Pelsall grabbed the winner a minute later when Vics' keeper Dalloway sprinted off his line to clear.

However the ball fell to a Pelsall player, who crossed to the far post for Howell to side foot home.

Knypersley travel to Barwell tomorrow in the league.
