THE heartbroken fiance and father of a Northwich mother and child who died after being in a collision with a car has made a moving tribute to them.

Tina Lewis, aged 23 and daughter Zara Lewis, aged three, were walking down Middlewich Road on March 31 when the collision took place.

Steve Harrison, aged 29, who had lived with the family in Pullman Drive for eight months, was due to marry Tina on June 1 next year.

He kept a 24 hour vigil by Tina's bedside as she fought a two-day battle for life.

He said: "I just want everyone to know how much I loved Tina and Zara and how much I will miss them. They were my life, they will never be replaced."

Steve and Tina met when they were in their early teens and were together on and off for eight years.

They split up for while during which time, little Bradley, aged one who survived the accident and is not Steve's child was born.

The couple then decided to have a second attempt at the relationship and life was going well until tragedy struck.

Steve said: " I had found someone I could settle down with.

"Tina would do anything for anybody. While I was with her, I didn't want for anything and neither did the kids.

"She idolised those kids, she was a brilliant mother. You couldn't fault her."

He added: "Zara was good looking, into everything and mischievous. I miss her waking me up in the morning."

Steve wants to thank his family and friends for their support and the hospital, who were brilliant and could not do enough to help.

He is also writing to singer Mary Duff, who as we reported last week left a card with a bunch of yellow roses given to her by fans at Zara's grave.
