I AM writing this letter in the hope that at least one or more of the local readers can help me with a search for 'old friends'.
My name is Frank Shepherd and I come from Stretford. I was born at the Memorial Hospital in February 1950 and I spent my childhood days and all of my teenage years in and around Stretford and Urmston. I now live in Hampshire and lost contact with home around 1981 having made only one return visit around 1983 for a family celebration.
My nickname was 'Steiney' and my family lived in Gorse Crescent until about 1963 and then moved to Lostock (Fountains Road) until about 1972.
