EAGLE Sports defeated newly crowned Premier Division champions and Guardian Cup winners Sidac Social to book a place in the final of Warrington Soccer League's James Wood Jubilee Trophy.

Colin Hope steered his underdogs to an unlikely 4-1 advantage on Saturday but Sidac threw everything into retrieving the match. Despite pulling back two goals Eagle's defence withstood the pressure.

In the other semi-final first division Fearnhead eased past Blackbrook 3-0 to make it an all-Warrington final. The result was rarely in doubt and fine reward to Fearnhead who were pipped in a penalty shoot-out in the Guardian Cup semi-final in March.

The final is scheduled for May Bank Holiday Monday morning at Rylands FC.

Sidac clinched the Organics Intermediates Premier Division Title on Thursday at Crosfields. Goals by Mitchell, Hewitt, Clark and Pilling secured the crown.

Crosfields are one of two sides leaving Warrington Soccer League next term. The others are Daten and the two sides met at Hood Lane on Sunday. Crosfields dismissed the visitors 5-2 with braces by Atherton and Green. A Caffrey strike assured the win.

Both sides will meet next term in the Mid-Cheshire League.

In Warrington's Division One, the runners-up spot looks to be between Irlam and Moorfield while at the other end of the table Winwick United seem destined to be relegated having lost further ground.

Union Taverners were confirmed as Division Two champions this week with only a solitary defeat all season. Spartak look set for the drop into Division Three.
