WOOLSTON Wildcats secured the Women's Amateur Rugby League second division championship with a superb win against Sheffield.
The Sheffield side threw everything at Wildcats but Woolston's defence was superb.
Try scorers for Woolston were debut girl Becky Williams, three, Susan James, Sue Hawkridge and Mandy Flynn. Two tries were converted.
Referee's choice of player of the match was Becky Williams.
Coach's player of the match was Karen Pittendrigh.
Woolston are looking for a new coach for the 2001/02 season. Also Wildcats are looking for new players for the open age and under 13s. Anyone interested should contact Chris Mawdsley on 490784.
