A GRAPPENHALL postman has won his first two races since a knee injury stopped him running for five months.
It has set him up nicely for a shot at a major race in America later this year.
Nick Jones continued his remarkable form with a course record of 30mins 20secs at the Ellesmere 10K race in Cheshire.
This followed on from himhaving left the chasing pack in his wake as he romped home at the Walton Park five-mile road race in Walton, Liverpool.
Nick, aged 26, said: "I'm very proud of my recent achievements.
"After all the problems with my knee I never thought that I'd reach this level of fitness.
"I've worked very hard, running up to 100 miles a week, and I am now confident that I can put in a good performance at the forthcoming Chicago Marathon and qualify for the Commonwealth Games."
